Bluffton harriers run at Wilmington Fall Classic

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Bluffton men and women competed in the Wilmington College Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College on a beautiful Friday, October 15, 2010. The University of Findlay took first on the women's side while Tiffin University placed first for the men.

Leading the Bluffton women in the 5k race was freshman LYNDSEY DARROW (Pioneer/North Central) who placed 178th with a time of 22:27.84. Also scoring for the women was ALISON JANZEN (Whitewater, Kansas/ Remington), who took 202nd with a time of 22:54.97, sophomore KATY HEFFNER (Troy), who placed 205th with a time of 22:57.57, and freshman ASHLEY HILLER (New Philadelphia/Tuscarawas Valley), who came in 309th with a time of 27:29.08.  

Freshman JAMES WHITT (Lancaster/Berne Union) paced the Bluffton men in the 8k by placing 227th with a time of 29:53.95. Rounding out the men was sophomore JEREMY KIDDER (New Carlisle/Tecumseh), who placed 295th with a time of 33:13.76, and junior KEVIN HICKMAN(Centerburg), who finished 311th with a time of 35:02.32.

The Beavers are idle next weekend, but they will be back in action on October 30 when they travel to Transylvania University for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
